About this fabric

Woven in 100% wool, this fabric has the substance and handle expected of a tailoring cloth, while the 151cm width makes it practical for upholstery or curtains. The checked pattern repeats at approximately 24cm vertical by 21cm horizontal, creating a generous plaid layout across the cloth. In this colourway, the teal ground reads cool and muted rather than bright, with the cross-lines adding warmth through faded raspberry, stone and pale gold accents. The overall effect is smart but relaxed, with enough pattern contrast to stand out without feeling harsh.

How to use it

Use it on a buttoned armchair, ottoman or curtains where the teal base can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with oak, aged brass and softer neutral paints for a tailored, understated scheme.

A refined wool plaid that works well on tailored upholstery or soft drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
