About this fabric

This colourway of Gloriana by Jane Churchill has a sunny yellow base that reads warm rather than lemony, with the multi-coloured stripe bringing red, aqua and muted charcoal notes into the design. The repeating pattern runs on a generous approximate 130cm width, and the vertical repeat is about 19cm, giving the stripe a clear, orderly rhythm. Woven in 59% linen, 34% viscose and 7% polyester, it has the grounded look of linen with a softer surface sheen from the viscose. The overall effect is crisp but not hard, making it a versatile fabric for tailored cushions, light upholstery or room-defining curtains.

How to use it

Use it to brighten a neutral scheme where the yellow ground can lift oak, rattan or painted timber. The mixed stripe detail also works well in a scheme that already includes blue or coral accents, echoing the smaller colours in the pattern.

A cheerful golden stripe that brings easy warmth to both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
