Atlas Clay

Idaho FabricL9409-01

Atlas Clay reads as a soft oatmeal cream with a delicate woven chevron that gives the surface quiet movement. The small repeat keeps the pattern refined rather than busy, letting the tonal texture do the work.

About this fabric

Atlas Clay from Larsen’s Idaho collection is a 140cm-wide fabric with a repeat of approximately V 6cm / H 7cm. Its blend of 36% wool, 22% viscose, 20% linen, 12% cotton and 10% polyester gives the cloth a natural, slightly dry handle that still looks smooth and composed on the surface. In this colourway, the tiny zigzag motif is worked in pale, chalky cream and warm beige-grey, so the pattern appears subtle until the light catches the weave. The overall effect is restrained and tailored, with enough visual texture to add depth without hard contrast. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Atlas Clay on an upholstered armchair, banquette or pared-back sofa where the small chevron can add texture without dominating the room. Its warm cream tone sits especially well with oak, pale stone and soft taupe schemes.

A calm neutral with a fine geometric rhythm that layers easily into tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
