Kandi Tobacco

Kandi FabricL9531-01

Kandi Tobacco is a soft, stripe-led fabric with a warm tobacco-brown line running through a light ground. The effect is airy and tailored rather than heavy, with the vertical and horizontal stripe bands giving it a measured rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in 49% cotton, 31% polyester, 15% linen and 5% viscose, Kandi Tobacco has a natural, slightly textural handle that reads as a refined mid-weight fabric. The stripe pattern alternates between fine horizontal pinstripes and taller vertical bands, creating a structured layout that feels calm and ordered. In this colourway, the tobacco tone is muted and earthy rather than red, sitting softly against the pale ground and adding warmth without sharp contrast. With an approximate width of 134cm and a repeat of V 47cm / H 44cm, it is a practical option for upholstered pieces or drawn window treatments where the stripe can be shown to good effect.

How to use it

Pair this tobacco stripe with cream paint, oak, and muted bronzes for a quietly tailored room. It works especially well on a small armchair, blind, or cushion scheme where the warm stripe can bring depth without darkening the space.

Use with pale timbers and relaxed neutrals for a warm, tailored look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kandi Tobacco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
