Kochi Clay

Kochi FabricL9424-03

Kochi Clay has a softly mottled, chalky surface that reads as a warm clay beige with a pale sandy cast. Its quiet texture gives the colourway a gentle depth rather than a flat solid finish.

About this fabric

This Larsen fabric is woven in a 50% polyester, 30% linen, 10% cotton and 10% viscose blend, with an approximate width of 144cm and a 0cm vertical and horizontal repeat. The surface visible here is finely speckled and lightly striated, giving Kochi Clay a dry, tactile look with a soft matte handle. The colour sits between beige and muted terracotta, warmed by earthy undertones but kept light enough to feel calm rather than heavy. With no pattern repeat to interrupt the cloth, it has a clean, relaxed character that suits tailored schemes. The care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code K are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Kochi Clay on a generous sofa, chaise or headboard where its warm neutral tone can soften sharper finishes like blackened metal or pale oak. It also works well as curtains in a sunlit room, where the sandy clay colour will glow rather than dominate.

A warm, understated neutral that works easily across upholstery and drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
