Kochi FabricL9421-07

Tatami Bark is a closely woven, bark-toned fabric with a fine horizontal texture and a grounded, earthy look. Its warm brown surface reads matte and tactile, with just enough tonal variation to keep it lively.

About this fabric

From Larsen's Kochi collection, Tatami Bark is composed of 41% cotton, 34% polyester and 25% viscose. The cloth is approximately 148cm wide, with a straight repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, which suits the small-scale woven appearance visible here. The colour is a warm bark brown with muted red and taupe undertones, giving the surface depth without looking shiny or high-contrast. The tight, ribbed texture feels orderly and refined, making it a practical decorative textile with a quietly tailored character.

How to use it

Use this bark brown alongside oak, espresso and natural linens for a grounded scheme, or pair it with pale plaster and chalky neutrals to let the texture stand out. It works especially well where you want warmth and tactility without a bold pattern dominating the room.

A versatile earthy brown that brings warmth without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
