About this fabric

Woven in 41% cotton, 34% polyester and 25% viscose, Tatami Marine combines a soft textile hand with the practical balance of a mixed-fibre fabric. The colour reads as a muted marine blue, with darker and lighter yarns creating gentle striations across the surface rather than a flat block of colour. At approximately 148cm wide and with a repeat of 0cm by 0cm, it presents as a clean, non-patterned cloth that is easy to use for a wide range of projects. The visible weave has enough structure for upholstery while still feeling refined enough for drapery, and the overall effect is cool, smart and quietly modern.

How to use it

Use this marine blue beside pale oak, chalk white or brushed metal for a crisp, composed scheme. It is especially effective on streamlined seating, where the subtle horizontal weave adds depth without competing with the room.

A cool, versatile blue that works well on tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
