About this fabric
Kobe Marine is a fabric from Larsen’s Kyoto collection, woven in a 124cm approx width with a vertical repeat of 29cm approx and a horizontal repeat of 42cm approx. The cloth is composed of 36% viscose, 32% polyester, 20% cotton and 12% linen, and the visible surface has a lightly textured, linen-like character that keeps the pattern from feeling flat. In this colourway, the motif appears as a saturated marine blue-black against a muted grey-green natural ground, so the contrast feels strong but not glossy. The stepped, tapered shapes create a clean architectural repeat that will hold its own on larger pieces without overwhelming a room.
How to use it
Use Kobe Marine where you want a composed, contemporary accent: a chair, ottoman or blind will show off the bold repeat and the cool depth of the blue. It also works well with pale timber, chalky neutrals and brushed metal finishes that echo the fabric’s restrained, tailored feel.
