Haiku Marine
Kyoto FabricL9420-03
Haiku Marine shows a deep cocoa-brown ground crossed with fine rust-toned arcs that read like overlapping brushstrokes. The pattern feels airy despite its density, with the warm outline lifting clearly from the darker base.

About this fabric
Haiku Marine is part of Larsen’s Kyoto collection and comes as a fabric with an approximate width of 135cm and a repeat of V 65cm / H 135cm approx. Its 44% cotton, 38% wool and 18% silk composition gives the surface a refined, softly lustrous handle that suits this crisp, drawn linework. In this colourway, the ground is a near-charcoal brown with a subtle woven depth, while the ochre-rust pattern brings a warmer, more autumnal note. The effect is smart and architectural rather than bright, with the arcs sitting lightly across the cloth and becoming more visible as the light catches the silk content. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.
How to use it
Use Haiku Marine where you want a dark, tailored statement with warmth: it would look especially strong on a sofa, loose cover, or full-length curtains against pale plaster, tobacco leather, or brushed brass. The rust linework adds movement without overwhelming a room, so it works well in schemes built from charcoal, walnut and aged metal.
A rich, moody ground with glowing rust arcs suits tailored upholstery or elegant drapery.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Haiku Marine without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
