Kuba Marine reads as a dark, atmospheric ground patterned with warm copper-brown marks. The small linear motif gives the surface a rhythmic, almost hand-drawn texture against the deep background.

About this fabric

Kuba Marine from Larsen is a fabric with a 60% viscose, 40% cotton composition and an approximate width of 138cm. The design shows a repeating geometric arrangement of short angled strokes, creating a medium-scale pattern with a strong sense of movement. In this colourway, the base appears very dark brown, almost black in places, while the pattern lifts in muted copper and rust tones. That contrast keeps the cloth feeling tailored and smart rather than bright, and the woven texture adds depth across the surface. The repeat is approximately V 33cm / H 35cm, giving the motif a clear, structured cadence.

How to use it

This darker marine colourway works well where you want pattern without glare, especially on a chair, ottoman, or cushioned bench. Pair it with warm timber, antique brass, or deep painted walls to bring out the copper notes.

Use with walnut woods or matte black accents for a rich, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
