Dan Midnight

Kuba FabricL9456-06

Dan Midnight is a very dark, near-black colourway with a restrained matte finish and a fine, tightly woven surface. The tone reads as a deep midnight black rather than a flat jet black, giving it subtle depth in the light.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a dense, plain weave with a quiet textile grain that softens the darkness of the ground. The fabric is 140cm wide approximately and made from 60% cotton, 16% polyester, 13% viscose and 11% linen, with no repeat at vertical or horizontal directions, which suits clean, uninterrupted upholstery layouts. In this swatch, Midnight appears as an inky black with faint tonal variation across the weave, so it feels sophisticated rather than stark. The fabric has a composed, low-gloss look that will work well where a dark, tailored finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Dan Midnight to anchor a sofa, bench or headboard when you want the room to feel crisp and architectural. It pairs especially well with pale stone, warm timber and brushed metal for contrast against its deep black tone.

A deep, low-sheen black that suits sharp tailoring, moody upholstery and pared-back schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
