Dan Wood

Kuba FabricL9456-08

Dan Wood is a deep chocolate brown colourway with a quiet, matte look and a closely woven plain surface. The tone reads warm and grounded, with just enough tonal variation to keep the cloth from feeling flat.

About this fabric

This Kuba fabric from Larsen is a plain weave with no repeat, which gives Dan Wood a clean, tailored appearance across the full 140cm width. Its composition of 60% Cotton, 16% Polyester, 13% Viscose and 11% Linen creates a textured cloth that feels substantial without looking heavy. The colour is a rich brown with reddish warmth, so it takes light softly rather than reflecting it sharply. With BM fire performance noted and a versatile handle, it suits upholstery and drapery where a smart, earthy finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Dan Wood to ground lighter neutrals, adding depth beside oatmeal linen, tan leather or aged brass. The dark brown tone works especially well in schemes that want warmth without introducing black.

A rich brown that feels tailored and warm in both seating and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
