Tigris Bark

Kenya FabricL9286-03

Tigris Bark shows the Kenya design in a warm bark-brown ground, crossed with a stepped geometric motif in charcoal and pale linen tones. The result feels earthy but tailored, with a dry, woven texture that reads clearly in the close-up swatch.

About this fabric

This 142cm-wide fabric combines 46% viscose, 42% cotton, 11% linen and 1% polyester, giving the cloth a grounded, softly textured handle with a visible slub from the natural fibres. The repeat is approximately V 121cm / H 142cm, creating a large-scale stepped pattern that moves across the surface in staggered bands. In Tigris Bark, the brown base has a warm, dusty quality rather than a bright tan, while the darker outlines add definition and keep the design looking crisp. The mix of muted bark, charcoal and pale neutral accents makes the fabric feel textural and architectural without losing its organic character.

How to use it

Use Tigris Bark on an upholstered chair, banquette or occasional headboard where the medium-scale pattern can be appreciated. It works especially well with oak, leather and stone finishes, and the warm brown tone softens rooms with cooler greys.

Pairs easily with walnut, brass and textured neutrals for a tailored, earthy scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
