About this fabric

Woven in 57% cotton, 24% linen and 19% viscose, Machu Tobacco has a dry, tactile handle that feels grounded and refined. The swatch shows a warm tobacco brown with golden-brown undertones, lifted by fine tonal variation across the weave. At approximately 143cm wide and with a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm, it offers a clean, uncomplicated look that is easy to tailor. The colour sits in the middle of the brown family: rich enough for upholstery, but still light enough to use for relaxed drapery or cushions where a natural texture is wanted.

How to use it

Use this shade with oak, saddle leather and aged brass for a warm, cohesive interior. It also softens crisply painted walls, where the brown tone brings depth without feeling heavy.

A warm tobacco tone that works beautifully across upholstery and softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
