Kanji Ebony

Timo FabricL9413-02

Kanji Ebony reads as a softly luminous ivory ground, scattered with a tiny taupe motif that gives the fabric a calm, dappled rhythm. The linen texture is visible in the cloth, lending the design a natural, slightly open look.

About this fabric

Woven in a 77% Linen, 18% Polyester, 5% Cotton blend, Kanji Ebony has the relaxed handle and gently slubby surface you can see in the image. The repeating motif is small and widely spaced, so the overall effect stays light, with the taupe marks sitting quietly against the soft ivory base. With a width of approx. 132cm and a vertical repeat of approx. 40cm by horizontal repeat of approx. 26cm, this is a considered decorative cloth rather than a plain. It is best read as an airy fabric for curtains and light soft furnishings, with fire code Z and care code Q 8 + T 3 supplied for specification use.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want the room to feel pale and softened, with the taupe motif adding interest without darkening the space. It works especially well against warm timber, chalky paint, and neutral upholstery.

A light, airy linen blend that suits relaxed curtains and soft decorative upholstery accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kanji Ebony without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
