About this fabric
Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide velvet is an even, unpatterned upholstery cloth in a saturated burgundy red. Its pile gives the colour visible depth, shifting from plum-like shadow to a warmer wine red where the surface is brushed in the opposite direction. CAM1747 is graded for both contract and domestic upholstery, making it suitable for seating and other hard-working applications. It is machine washable, with domestic cigarette-and-match flame retardancy and the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.
How to use it
Pair this deep burgundy velvet with warm timber, aged brass or smoky neutrals to temper its saturated red depth. Its light-catching pile also suits a statement armchair, headboard or compact sofa where the colour can be seen clearly.
