Baker House Fr Velvet Midnight is a dense, plain velvet in an intensely deep blue that reads almost black in the darker areas of the swatch. Its soft nap creates gentle tonal shifts as the light moves across the surface.

About this fabric

Made from 100% Polyester FR, this 140 cm-wide velvet is specified for fixed upholstery. The 100,000 Martindale rub test gives it a hard-wearing specification for frequently used upholstered pieces. In this Midnight colourway, the cool blue tone has considerable depth, while the directional pile reveals slightly lighter blue highlights rather than a flat, uniform surface. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this near-black blue on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its plush surface can bring depth to pale walls, warm timber and brushed metal. The cool Midnight tone also works as a dramatic anchor in layered navy and charcoal schemes.
