Kempsford Ivory

About this fabric

The fine fabric shows repeated vertical columns of ivory flowers, leaves and scrolling botanical forms against a warm, powdery blush ground. Its tonal contrast is gentle rather than stark, with the pale motifs catching the light against the softly coloured background. A 38 cm vertical pattern repeat and 43 cm horizontal repeat give the design a measured, even rhythm. Woven from 27% linen, 39% viscose and 34% polyester, it is 129 cm wide and specified for curtains and bedspreads; it must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use Kempsford Ivory at a bedroom window where its warm blush undertone can soften white walls and natural timber. Repeat the ivory botanical detail in a bedspread for a coordinated, gently formal scheme.

Use the warm ivory and blush-beige palette to soften bedroom curtains or coordinate elegant bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
