Leighton Red/Green

Winslow FabricBF11176.1

Leighton Red/Green brings a warm cream ground to an intricate arrangement of floral medallions, with brick red, olive green and taupe details creating a softly aged, decorative character. The closely spaced motifs give the colourway a richly patterned appearance without losing the lightness of its ground.

About this fabric

The design combines larger symmetrical rosettes with smaller floral sprays, curling foliage and pale taupe medallions, all picked out against cream. Its reds read as muted brick and crimson rather than bright scarlet, while the olive and brown-green accents add depth around the central floral forms. This 63% linen and 37% polyester fabric is 134 cm wide, with a 64 cm vertical repeat and 67 cm horizontal repeat. Supplied for curtains and bedspreads, it must not be washed, bleached or ironed and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use the warm cream and brick-red balance for full-length curtains in a traditional sitting room, or carry the olive foliage into cushions and painted cabinetry. The patterned surface also makes a decorative bedspread where its repeated medallions can be appreciated at close range.

Pair the warm cream ground with dark timber, aged brass and muted olive accents for a richly traditional scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
