Aucuba Embroidery Heather/Slate

Colour 3 Fabrics FabricHAF0168-05

Aucuba Embroidery Heather/Slate places fine, starburst-like botanical heads across a soft cream ground. Slate blue, heather-lilac, olive and taupe threads give the pattern a cool, gently weathered character.

About this fabric

The cream background keeps this colourway light, while the slate-blue and heather-lilac motifs create a muted, cool-toned rhythm across the cloth. Each flower-like spray has a loose, linear form, with olive-grey and taupe accents adding depth around the darker centres. Weighing 320gsm, the fabric has a substantial mid-weight presence and a listed 27 threads per cm. Its 126cm usable width carries a 61cm vertical repeat and 63cm horizontal repeat, making pattern planning an important part of upholstery or drapery cutting.

How to use it

Use the cool cream, slate and heather palette on a relaxed armchair, blind or full-length curtain, pairing it with chalky neutrals and natural timber. The olive-grey details can be picked up in plain cushions or painted joinery without making the scheme feel overly matched.

A softly coloured, mid-weight botanical suitable for relaxed upholstery and full-length drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
