About this fabric

The design is made up of irregular botanical bursts, with dark ink-blue accents clustered among slender gold, taupe and grey-beige strokes. Against the cream background, the blue reads cool and lightly weathered rather than saturated, while the gold catches the eye as a subdued warm highlight. At 320 gsm and 27 threads per centimetre, this is a substantial textile with a defined surface presence, suitable for either upholstery or drapery. Its 61 cm vertical and 63 cm horizontal repeats give the pattern a noticeable but not oversized rhythm, and the usable width is 126 cm.

How to use it

Pair the warm cream ground with natural timber, pale stone and warm neutrals, then use the ink-blue details to introduce a cooler note through cushions or painted furniture. The muted gold accents will sit comfortably with aged brass and soft taupe upholstery.

A warm cream ground and cool ink-blue sprays give this botanical embroidery a smart, quietly layered look for upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
