About this fabric

This 650gsm woven fabric shows fine blue vertical and horizontal lines crossing over a warm taupe base, creating a weathered, textile-like grid. The marine tone appears softened rather than highly saturated, while the lighter ground catches between the lines to reveal the weave and prevent the surface from reading as flat navy. Osamu Marine has a 16.5cm vertical pattern repeat and a 1.7cm horizontal repeat, keeping the narrow linear structure easy to place across upholstered pieces. It is supplied at a 140cm usable width, with a standard length of 30m and 45 threads per centimetre.

How to use it

Use Osamu Marine on a structured armchair, headboard or sofa where its cool blue lines can be balanced by warm taupe upholstery companions, natural wood and aged brass. The restrained contrast also suits calm rooms that need pattern without a strong decorative flourish.
