About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this Portland colourway has a soft matt look and a close, refined handle that reads neatly in the image. The vertical pinstripe effect is subtle rather than contrasty, with slender pale lines sitting over a muted taupe base. With a usable width of 137cm and a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat, it is suited to tailored upholstery, relaxed drapery and accessories alike. Its heavy domestic upholstery grade and 30,000 Martindale rating make it practical for everyday seating, while treatable FR suitability adds flexibility for contract and home schemes.

How to use it

Use this taupe stripe on a clean-lined chair, bench or simple curtains where the pale ground can lift darker timber or painted joinery. It pairs well with oak, stone, putty and other soft neutrals for a calm, coordinated room.
