About this fabric
Part of the Modena collection by J Brown, this plain fabric is woven in 100% polyester and specified for contract use, with an 80,000 Martindale rating for demanding interiors. The swatch shows a cool silver-grey ground broken by subtle haze-like variations, giving the cloth depth without a strong pattern. Its surface has a fine, slightly textured finish that catches the light softly, so the tone shifts from pale stone to brushed pewter as it moves. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and can be professionally dry cleaned in situ or washed at 40°C, subject to the pattern book guidance.
How to use it
Use Modena Silver on compact seating, banquettes or contract upholstery where a calm grey needs to feel bright rather than heavy. It also works well alongside charcoal, white and brushed metal details to keep the room crisp and composed.
A refined neutral that pairs easily with both warm wood and cooler metal finishes.
