Cosmos Velvet Twilight is a near-black charcoal velvet with a softly clouded surface. Its short pile catches the light in smoky grey flashes, giving the plain cloth depth without introducing a visible motif.

About this fabric

The deep charcoal tone sits close to black, while the changing nap creates cooler grey markings across the surface rather than a flat, uniform finish. This 137cm-wide velvet is composed of 24% cotton and 76% polyester. It is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. Dry-clean care is required.

How to use it

Use Twilight to bring a grounded, low-light character to a sofa, chair or headboard, or make full curtains from it where the near-black tone can frame a room. Pair it with pale stone, brushed metal or soft grey to pick up the velvet’s cooler highlights.

A near-black charcoal velvet with softly shifting highlights for upholstered seating, curtains and tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
