About this fabric

The visible velvet pile has a softly brushed appearance rather than a patterned motif, creating gentle tonal movement across the dark granite shade. Made from 71% polyester, 17% acrylic and 12% cotton, this 140cm-wide fabric is specified for fixed upholstery and curtains. Its Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades make it suitable for upholstered seating, while the dense-looking velvet surface brings a smart, enveloping character to the colour. After-care is listed as Delicate Wash at 30°C or Dry Clean.

How to use it

Use Granite on a tailored sofa, headboard or dining chair when a room needs a grounded charcoal anchor without a stark black finish. It also makes full, dark curtains that absorb light and emphasise the velvet’s subtle pile change.
