About this fabric

This 140cm-wide velvet is made from 12% cotton, 17% acrylic and 71% polyester, giving the plain surface a soft, close texture with restrained lustre. The Thunderstorm colourway sits between charcoal and graphite, with enough tonal variation in the nap to prevent the dark shade from looking flat. It is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery and carries Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. After-care is listed as Delicate Wash 30°C or Dry Clean.

How to use it

Use Thunderstorm on a tailored sofa, bench or headboard when a room needs a cool, grounding charcoal rather than a warm brown-black. It can also bring depth to full-length curtains, especially alongside pale stone, crisp white or brushed metal accents.
