Silby multi

Penningtonweaves Fabricsilby/fa1/cor

Silby Multi shows a lively scatter of painterly leaves across a pale ground, with the pattern reading airy rather than heavy. The mix of muted rust, sage, soft blue and grey gives the fabric a fresh, layered look.

About this fabric

This colourway of Silby is woven in a substantial fabric at 594gsm, with a 140cm width and a usable width of 140cm, making it suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. The design is built from large feather-like leaves with a woven, textured appearance that feels open and decorative rather than dense. In this multi version, dusty terracotta, olive, misty blue and soft grey sit on an off-white ground, so the palette feels balanced and gently vintage. The pattern repeat is 35cm horizontally and 83.5cm vertically, which helps the leaf stems and angled shapes flow with a sense of movement across the cloth. Dry clean only and iron safe, this is a practical decorative fabric with a tactile cotton-rich handle.

How to use it

Pair Silby Multi with plain linens, light oak and brushed brass to let the muted botanical colours stand out. It works especially well in relaxed rooms where the soft white ground can keep larger upholstery pieces feeling bright.

Use for statement curtains or upholstery where the muted leaf palette can take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
