Pennington orange

Penningtonweaves Fabricpenning/fa1/aub

Pennington Orange shows a softly woven ivory ground threaded with painterly floral stems in warm rust, coral and moss tones. The design feels airy rather than dense, with the motif standing out through the textured weave.

About this fabric

This colourway of Penningtonweaves has a light, creamy base that allows the scattered botanical pattern to read clearly without feeling heavy. The flowers and leaves are drawn in warm burnt orange, muted red, sage and teal accents, giving the fabric a lively but softened palette. With a composition of 78% cotton and 22% polyester, plus a substantial 594 gsm weight and 15,000 Martindale rating, it offers enough body for upholstery as well as curtains and blinds. The 140 cm width and 35 cm by 50 cm pattern repeat make it practical for domestic make-up, while the dry-clean-only care and iron-safe finish support a tailored result. Its woven texture and visible slub give the cloth an artisanal feel that suits relaxed rooms with natural finishes.

How to use it

Use Pennington Orange on a statement armchair or Roman blind where the warm orange-red detailing can lift the room against oak, rattan or pale painted wood. It also works well with ivory upholstery and soft green accents, echoing the leaf tones in the print.

Pair with natural woods and plain linens to let the loose embroidered-look floral pattern breathe.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
