About this fabric

This Scion Esala fabric has a substantial 427 gsm weight and a 125 cm usable width, making it well suited to upholstery applications. Its 80 cm vertical repeat arranges arching and upright fern fronds across the chalk ground, with pewter leaves providing the strongest contrast and biscuit stems adding warmth. The 20 threads-per-centimetre construction gives the surface a closely formed textile character, while the restrained neutral palette keeps the botanical pattern calm rather than busy.

How to use it

Use it on a reading chair, bench or occasional sofa where the chalk ground can brighten the silhouette and the pewter fronds can connect with grey timber, stone or painted finishes. Add biscuit-toned cushions or natural wood nearby to draw out the warmer notes without losing the colourway's cool, muted balance.
