Urchin Sand

Sheers FabricSAF0507-01

Urchin Sand is a softly reflective sand-cream fabric with a raised wave motif that reads elegant rather than stark. The pattern sits over a light, airy ground, giving the colourway a warm, gently weathered look.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Sheers fabric has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 185 gsm handle, making it a versatile mid-weight option for both curtains and upholstery projects. The surface shows a pale sand base with a faintly mottled, ivory-toned pattern and darker looping lines that trace the design in a rhythmic vertical repeat of 39.5 cm and horizontal repeat of 33 cm. The weave has a slightly slubbed, textile-rich appearance that catches the light softly rather than shining. At 28 threads per cm, the cloth feels closely woven and tailored, while the muted beige-cream palette keeps the overall effect calm and understated.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without strong contrast: it suits relaxed blinds, lined curtains, or a quiet occasional chair in a neutral scheme. The warm sand tone sits especially well with natural timber, limestone, and pale oak finishes.

A warm neutral with a refined woven pattern that works beautifully across elegant schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
