Partridge & Pear Porcelain/Blossom

Sanderson x National Trust Volume II FabricSAF0484-02

Partridge & Pear Porcelain/Blossom shows a softly lit porcelain ground scattered with small nature studies and linked by delicate floral garlands. The overall effect is airy and traditional, with blossom tones that keep the pattern gentle rather than heavy.

About this fabric

This Sanderson x National Trust Volume II fabric has a usable width of 141 cm, a standard length of 60 m, a vertical pattern repeat of 75.5 cm and a horizontal repeat of 141 cm. At 300 gsm, it reads as a substantial decorative fabric with enough body for upholstery as well as curtains and light furnishings. The image shows a cream-ivory ground with a fine woven texture, while the motif is worked in soft blossom pinks, muted blue-greens, warm ochres and faded terracotta accents. The repeating partridge and pear illustrations feel antique and restrained against the pale base, giving the design a calm, heritage look rather than a bright country print.

How to use it

Use it where the porcelain ground can breathe, such as a statement chair, loose cover, or full-length curtains in a bright room. It works especially well with chalky paint colours and aged wood, letting the blossom detailing add warmth without overpowering the space.

Pair with painted timber, aged brass and soft neutrals to let the porcelain ground and blossom-toned motif shine.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
