Pallas Violet has a cool, softly muted lilac ground with distressed vertical fields of deeper violet and pale blush. Its irregular surface markings give the colourway a gently weathered, painterly character.

About this fabric

The woven-looking surface shifts between pale blush-lilac areas and cooler violet bands, with fine broken marks that soften the edges rather than forming crisp stripes. At 353 gsm and 137 cm usable width, this is a substantial textile well suited to upholstered pieces. The design has a 19 cm vertical repeat and a 33.6 cm horizontal repeat, creating a measured rhythm within the irregular, mottled pattern. Light catches the raised-looking flecks across the violet areas, adding depth to the otherwise restrained pastel palette.

How to use it

Use Pallas Violet on an armchair, headboard or tailored sofa where its cool lilac tone can sit alongside chalky neutrals, pale timber and brushed silver. The deeper violet bands can be picked up in cushions or painted joinery without making the room feel heavily coloured.

A substantial 353 gsm textile with softly distressed vertical bands in cool violet and blush-lilac tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
