Curlew Mustard/Natural

Embleton Bay Fabrics FabricSAF0225-01

Curlew Mustard/Natural is a softly muted, warm light neutral with a gentle mustard cast. The close weave gives the surface a calm, quietly textured look rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

Part of Sanderson’s Embleton Bay Fabrics collection, Curlew Mustard/Natural is a fabric with a usable width of 142 cm and a substantial 530 gsm weight. The image shows a pale cream base warmed by a very subtle mustard tint, with tiny natural slubs and a fine woven grain that add depth without introducing a visible pattern. With no pattern repeat in either direction, it reads as a restrained plain that lets the texture do the talking. The 60 threads per cm specification supports the tight, even handle visible in the swatch, making it feel refined but substantial.

How to use it

This colourway works well on upholstered pieces where you want warmth without strong colour, especially alongside oak, rattan and stone finishes. Its soft mustard note also suits relaxed schemes with sage, olive or weathered linen.

A warm neutral that layers easily with natural timber and muted greens.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
