Chicago Terracotta

Chicago Fabric

Chicago Terracotta shows a sharp geometric lattice in a warm terracotta red against a softer beige ground. The repeating shape reads clean and architectural, with the woven texture giving the colourway a grounded, tactile feel.

About this fabric

This Warwick fabric is composed of 57% viscose, 23% polyester, 14% cotton and 6% linen, and it is specified for upholstery with a 30,000 Martindale rub test. The 137 cm width and 9 cm by 9 cm repeat make the pattern practical for larger furniture pieces while keeping the rhythm crisp and regular. In this colourway, the terracotta tone feels earthy rather than bright, with a muted brick-red depth that sits comfortably against the lighter neutral ground. The weave has a visible textural grain that softens the geometry and gives the surface a slightly heathered, tailored look.

How to use it

Use Chicago Terracotta on an accent chair, ottoman or banquette where the angled pattern can be seen clearly. Its warm, subdued red works well with oak, aged brass and sandy neutrals, adding colour without feeling loud.

A warm, patterned terracotta that brings structured colour to tailored seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chicago Terracotta without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
