Chelton Graphite shows a tight geometric grid softened by chalky pale squares against a cool graphite ground. The result is a structured, modern weave with a softly weathered look.

About this fabric

This Ashley Wilde fabric from Essential Weaves Vol 1 is composed of 57% polyester and 43% cotton, and it is specified for drapes only. The 140cm width and 24cm vertical by 23cm horizontal repeat suit a regular geometric layout like the one visible here, where the small-scale checks read neatly across the surface. In this colourway, the graphite ground feels cool and restrained, while the pale pattern elements lift the design and stop it from looking overly dark. At 357 grams per linear metre and 255 grams per square metre, it has a substantial drape with enough body to hold a tailored window treatment. The rub test is N/A, so its classification is best kept to curtains rather than seating.

How to use it

Use Chelton Graphite for Roman blinds or lined curtains where the small check can create depth without dominating the room. Its cool grey tone pairs especially well with pale oak, off-white walls, and black metal finishes.

A crisp graphite check that adds quiet structure without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
