Chelton Oyster
Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1CHELTON
Chelton Oyster shows a pale oyster-cream ground with a softly repeated grid of cloudy squares and dots. The design reads calm and understated, with the pattern sitting gently into the weave rather than shouting from the surface.

About this fabric
This colourway is woven in 57% polyester and 43% cotton, with a drapes-only handle that suits structured curtains and blinds rather than upholstery. At 140cm wide and 357 grams per linear metre, it has enough body to hang neatly while still keeping the light, airy feel visible in the swatch. The small-scale geometric repeat—24cm vertical and 23cm horizontal—creates a rhythmic check effect made softer by the mottled, oyster-toned outline. Its pale cream background and muted beige-grey markings give the fabric a warm, diffused finish that feels gentle and easy to live with.
How to use it
Use Chelton Oyster where you want a window treatment that blends into a calm scheme rather than dominating it. The soft cream and quiet grid work especially well with limewash walls, pale oak, and brushed metal accents.
A quiet oyster tone that lifts a room without looking stark; ideal for a soft, tailored window treatment.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chelton Oyster without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
