About this fabric

The surface is formed by slender blue lines crossing at close intervals to create an even square grid, with the pale ground keeping the colourway light and clear. The denim tone is muted rather than saturated, and the fabric’s visible texture gently softens the edges of each line. At 415gsm, it offers the substantial weight expected for upholstery, with a usable width of 144cm. The pattern repeat is 7.5cm vertically and 8cm horizontally, and the standard length is 30m.

How to use it

Use Thornton Denim on a buttoned chair, footstool or compact sofa where its cool blue check can add structure without overpowering the room. Balance it with chalky creams, pale timber and warmer beige accents to bring out the contrast between the denim lines and its light ground.

Pair the cool denim check with pale woods, warm neutrals or natural textures for relaxed, tailored upholstery.
