Ortega Noir

Metropolitan Fabrics FabricCCF0125-01

Ortega Noir brings a bold monochrome animal motif to a softly textured woven ground. Its ivory base gives the black pattern a crisp, graphic presence, while the irregular edges keep the design from feeling overly rigid.

About this fabric

The fabric shows dense, irregular black leopard-like rings and broken markings across an ivory ground, with softly feathered edges that reveal the character of the weave. At 456gsm, Ortega Noir has the substantial visual and handle weight associated with upholstery rather than a light, fluid drapery cloth. The design has a 35cm vertical repeat and 35cm horizontal repeat, creating a clearly measured pattern across the 140cm usable width. A standard length of 40m is supplied for coordinated upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use the cool black-and-ivory contrast on a statement armchair, footstool or headboard, pairing it with matte black details and warm timber to soften the graphic effect.

Use this high-contrast black-and-ivory weave to bring graphic energy to an upholstered chair, headboard or sofa.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
