Taryn Jacquard Linen

Metropolitan Fabrics FabricCCF0837-02

Taryn Jacquard Linen is shown here in a softly blended warm taupe and cream colourway. Fine vertical lines run through the woven surface, with the textured yarns creating gentle tonal variation rather than a flat stripe.

About this fabric

The 392gsm construction has a substantial woven appearance suited to upholstery, while the closely spaced vertical striping keeps the design visually restrained. Warm taupe threads sit alongside lighter cream lines, giving the surface a quietly dimensional, softly mottled finish as the light moves across it. The pattern has a 0cm vertical repeat and a 1.5cm horizontal repeat, so the linear design reads continuously from top to bottom. With a 134cm usable width and a standard 35m length, it is practical for coordinating upholstery requirements.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe-and-cream colourway on an upholstered armchair, headboard or sofa where its fine vertical lines can add height without becoming dominant. It works particularly well with pale oak, ivory textiles and other tactile neutral finishes.

Pair the warm taupe ground with natural timber, cream upholstery and softly textured neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
