Ortega Ink
Metropolitan Fabrics FabricCCF0826-01
Ortega Ink pairs an ivory woven ground with densely arranged, irregular ink navy markings that resemble an abstract animal print. The high-contrast colourway has a cool, graphic presence, while the visible surface texture softens the pattern’s edges.

About this fabric
This substantial 456 gsm textile is suited to upholstery, with a 140 cm usable width for practical cutting on furniture. Its 35 cm vertical and 35 cm horizontal pattern repeat creates a closely packed field of uneven navy loops, spots and brush-like shapes rather than a rigid geometric layout. Against the pale ivory background, the ink tone reads deep and cool, with the weave giving the dark marks a slightly broken, tactile appearance. The standard length is 40 m.
How to use it
Use Ortega Ink on a sofa or statement chair where its ivory ground can keep the room light while the cool navy markings add structure. Pair it with plain ivory upholstery, dark timber or brushed metal to echo its graphic contrast without competing with the pattern.
Use the deep ink contrast to bring definition to sofas, dining chairs and occasional upholstery.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ortega Ink without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
