Malevich Ink

Metropolitan Fabrics FabricCCF0820-01

Malevich Ink sets deep ink navy and blue-grey brushstrokes against an ivory ground, creating a high-contrast abstract design with visible painterly movement. Broad looping marks overlap with finer, dry-brush streaks for a lively, hand-worked effect.

About this fabric

The cool navy marks shift from dense near-black passages to softer blue-grey edges, while the ivory ground keeps the colourway bright rather than moody. Supplied at 211gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. Its 137cm usable width accommodates the large 110cm vertical by 68.5cm horizontal repeat, allowing the looping brush forms to be considered across a project. The standard length is 35m.

How to use it

Use Malevich Ink where its crisp ivory ground and cool ink tones can act as a graphic focal point, such as an occasional chair, Roman blind or full-height curtain. Balance the bold repeat with quiet navy, chalk or blue-grey furnishings.

Use this cool ink-and-ivory colourway to bring graphic contrast to an occasional chair, curtain or relaxed scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
