Louis Autumn is a densely woven, finely checked textile with a warm autumnal mix of brown, taupe, rust, cream and muted blue-grey. Its closely packed surface gives the colourway a softly textured, tweed-like depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The small-scale woven motif is built from tightly repeating flecks and tiny check-like intersections, creating gentle movement across the surface. Warm brown and taupe form the dominant impression, while rust, cream and cooler blue-grey threads catch through the weave to keep the shade nuanced. At 468 gsm, Louis Autumn has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, with a useable width of 139 cm. The pattern repeat is deliberately restrained at 1.2 cm vertically and 0.9 cm horizontally, making the design easy to work across smaller upholstered forms; the standard length is 30 m.

How to use it

Use Louis Autumn on an occasional chair, sofa or headboard where its earthy brown-rust depth can sit comfortably with timber, leather, oatmeal linen and muted blue accents. The fine scale also works well when a room needs visual texture without a strong, directional pattern.
