About this fabric

Emile Prune from the Emile II collection by Jane Churchill is a fabric with no visible repeat, making the overall look calm and uninterrupted. The swatch shows a richly saturated plum tone that sits between burgundy and aubergine, with a dark, almost velvety depth in the shadows. Its 50% cotton and 50% polyester composition gives it the feel of a practical decorative textile, and the approx. 140cm width suits wider making-up projects. With care code C 8 + T 3 and fire code K, it is a specified upholstery-grade textile that can also be used for drapery where a heavier, more structured fall is wanted.

How to use it

Use this colourway to add a cocooning note to dining chairs, a sofa, or tailored curtains, where the plum depth will read especially rich against oak, brass, or pale neutrals. It is a strong choice for rooms that need colour without brightness.

A rich plum cloth that brings depth and warmth to both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
