Dex Ochre/Charcoal

Hudson FabricJ0282-06

Dex Ochre/Charcoal pairs a soft cream ground with a tightly worked ochre and charcoal motif. The result is a small-scale geometric fabric that reads crisp, grounded and quietly textural.

About this fabric

Dex Ochre/Charcoal from the Hudson collection by Jane Churchill is composed of 65% Cotton, 22% Polyester and 13% Linen, with a width of approximately 140cm and a repeat of V 9cm / H 7cm approx. The weave has a dry, cloth-like character that keeps the tiny cross motif looking defined rather than heavy. In this colourway, the cream base is warmed by ochre notes while the charcoal detailing adds a muted, tailored contrast. It feels lighter and softer than a stark monochrome, making the pattern easy to live with across both upholstery and drapery. The fabric is listed with care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM.

How to use it

Use it to bring subtle structure to an armchair, bench or roman blind where the warm ochre detail can lift neutral upholstery. It would sit especially well with natural oak, aged brass and painted timber in soft stone or putty shades.

A neat small-scale pattern in warm neutrals that works well on tailored seating or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
