Dex Blue

Hudson FabricJ0282-02

Dex Blue shows a neat, small-scale geometric motif set over a pale ground, giving the fabric a light and orderly finish. The blue reads as soft and dusty rather than bright, so the overall effect is calm and tailored.

About this fabric

Dex Blue is a woven fabric in the Hudson collection by Jane Churchill, made from 65% cotton, 22% polyester and 13% linen. It measures approximately 140cm wide and has a repeat of V 9cm / H 7cm approx, which suits the compact, repeated cross-like motif visible in the swatch. The pale base is warmed slightly by the natural fibres, while the blue pattern has a muted, slightly weathered look that keeps it from feeling sharp or high-contrast. With care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM, it is a practical decorative cloth with a refined, lightly textured surface.

How to use it

Use Dex Blue on a small armchair, bench or cushions where its tidy repeat can be appreciated up close. It also works well at a window or on relaxed upholstery alongside chalk white, oatmeal and soft grey finishes.

A crisp little-scale blue pattern that feels tailored and easy to layer with pale neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
