Kampala Desert

Kara FabricL9270-03

Kampala Desert pairs a soft desert-beige ground with a flowing botanical motif that feels airy and quietly layered. The pattern reads light and tonal, with the stems and leaf outlines adding gentle movement across the cloth.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a warm ivory-beige ground with almond, taupe and muted terracotta detailing, so the design feels sun-baked rather than stark. The leaf forms are drawn in fine linear outlines, giving the surface a light, tailored look rather than a dense print. Woven in 70% Linen, 23% Viscose and 7% Polyester, it has the natural character of linen with a smoother finish from the viscose. The supplied width is approx. 128cm, with a repeat of V 78cm / H 128cm approx, which suits a bold, architectural placement of the motif. The care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for specification checking.

How to use it

Its muted beige ground works beautifully with oak, rattan and warm plaster tones, while the terracotta accents add just enough contrast. Use it in relaxed sitting rooms or bedrooms where you want pattern, but still want the room to feel calm and light.

Use with natural woods and woven textures for an easy, sun-warmed scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kampala Desert without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
