Hillier Blue

Kingswood FabricJ0126-02

Hillier Blue gives the Kingswood pattern a pale, powdery look, with the small lattice motif softened by its washed blue ground. The design reads calm and tailored, with a neat repeat that keeps the overall effect light rather than busy.

About this fabric

Woven in a 44% Cotton, 40% Linen, 16% Polyester composition, this fabric has the natural character of cotton and linen with the added practicality of polyester. The repeat is a small-scale geometric of approximately V 20cm / H 16cm, and the 130cm width makes it straightforward for coordinated curtains or upholstered pieces. In this colourway, the blue sits in a muted, slightly greyed register, so the pattern feels fresh but restrained rather than bright. The pale ground and delicate outline give the surface a crisp, decorative finish that suits smart classic interiors.

How to use it

Use Hillier Blue on a compact armchair, a blind or tailored cushions where its small repeat can be appreciated without overwhelming the room. It works especially well with chalky whites, pale timber and deeper indigo accents for a layered but airy scheme.

A quietly patterned blue that feels easy to layer with painted woods, linen neutrals and pale oak.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hillier Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
