Porter & Stone

Zonda Smoke

Misc Fabric

Zonda Smoke reads as a deep, smoky brown with a fine crosshatched texture and subtle pale flecks that catch the light. The effect is moody and tailored rather than flat, with just a trace of lustre from the lurex content.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is 140cm wide and made from 95% polyester and 5% lurex, giving the surface a practical textile base with a faint metallic shimmer. The 34cm vertical and 35.5cm horizontal repeat creates a structured, all-over pattern that feels layered rather than bold. Visually, Zonda Smoke sits in a very dark brown range with cooler charcoal notes and scattered lighter threads that break up the ground. The weave has a slightly slubbed, crosshatched look that adds movement and keeps the colourway from reading as a plain solid. It feels smart and versatile for interiors that want depth without high contrast.

How to use it

Use Zonda Smoke to anchor upholstery on a sofa, banquette or headboard where its dark smoky tone can sit alongside timber, leather and brushed metal. It also works well in drapery if you want a subdued, textured window treatment that doesn’t dominate the room.

Pair this dark, speckled neutral with walnut, bronze and warm greys for a tailored, grounded look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
