Chamomile Embroidery Woad
The Unfinished Works Fabrics FabricMOF0245-02
Chamomile Embroidery Woad pairs a chalky pale woad-blue ground with an intricate white scrolling floral field. Along the selvedge, a darker navy vine and repeated rust-red floral medallions create a richly defined border.

About this fabric
The main field is filled with pale, almost chalk-white stems, leaves and rosette-like blooms, while the narrow border introduces deeper navy, muted red and warm terracotta accents. At 404 gsm with 28 threads per cm, this is a substantial textile with the visual weight suited to upholstery. It has a 135 cm usable width, a 30 m standard length and a pattern repeat of 32 cm vertically by 135 cm horizontally. The cool, low-contrast centre feels composed and airy, while the saturated border gives the colourway a more formal, tailored finish.
How to use it
Use the pale woad field on a traditionally shaped chair, headboard or upholstered bench, positioning the navy-and-rust border as a deliberate edge or accent. Pair it with chalky neutrals and weathered timber to keep the cool blue tone feeling light rather than heavy.
A cool woad ground and ornate navy-and-rust floral border bring patterned depth to traditional upholstery.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chamomile Embroidery Woad without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
